IPhone 8 is just a bit better than the Galaxy S7 edge, with a general score of 85 against 78.1. The iPhone 8 is a newer cellphone, and it's also a little bit lighter and a little thinner than Galaxy S7 edge. The iPhone 8 counts with a faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and a higher number of cores.
Galaxy S7 edge has a slightly better screen than Apple iPhone 8, because it has a bigger display, a lot better pixel quantity per inch in the display and a way better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. IPhone 8 counts with a way bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.
The Galaxy S7 edge has a superior battery performance than Apple iPhone 8, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity against 1821mAh. The iPhone 8 takes clearer videos and photos than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a tinier aperture and a smaller sensor, and they both have a camera in the back with a 12 megapixels and the same video resolution, the iPhone 8 also counts with better video frame rate.
Although Apple iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S7 edge. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Apple iPhone 8, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy S7 edge, resigning a couple features and specs.
