Comparison review

IPhone 8 has a score of 85, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's 81.9 general score. Even when the iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Active were only released 1 months apart, the iPhone 8 is notably thinner and noticeably lighter. The Galaxy S8 Active has a little sharper screen than iPhone 8, because it has a lot better 1440 x 2960px resolution, a larger screen and way more pixels per screen inch.

The iPhone 8 features a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has less RAM memory and less cores (but faster), it also counts with a 64-bits processing unit. IPhone 8 counts with much more memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a really longer battery duration than iPhone 8, because it has a 120 percent greater battery size. The iPhone 8 takes a little bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for shooting images and/or video in low-light environments and a tinier sensor taking worse quality pictures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a camera in the back with a 12 mega-pixels, the iPhone 8 also counts with better video frame rates.

Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy iPhone 8, else you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, giving up some features and specs.
