Comparison review

The iPhone 8 is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S9, having a global score of 85 against 83.3. Even when the iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S9 were released only 6 months apart, the iPhone 8 is thinner and a bit lighter. Galaxy S9 has a bit sharper screen than iPhone 8, because it has a much better quantity of pixels per display inch, a much higher 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and a bigger screen.

Apple iPhone 8 has a bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S9, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory. IPhone 8 counts with just a little better processing power than Galaxy S9, because although it has a lower number of cores and they are also slower and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a 64-bits processor.

Galaxy S9 shoots slightly better pictures and videos than iPhone 8, and although they both have the same resolution camera in the back, the same 60 frames per second video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy S9 also has a larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a larger camera aperture to take better captures in low light situations.

The Galaxy S9 has a much better battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 8, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity.

Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S9. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy iPhone 8, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy S9, resigning a couple specifications.
