Comparison review
The iPhone 8 is a bit better than Sony Xperia Z5, having an 85 score against 77.6. IPhone 8's design has the same thickness than the Sony Xperia Z5, but it is just a little lighter. The Apple iPhone 8 features a bit more powerful processor than Xperia Z5, because although it has less RAM memory, lesser CPU cores and doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a 64-bits CPU.
Xperia Z5 has a brighter screen than iPhone 8, because it has a quite larger display, a greater pixels density and a much better 1920 x 1080 resolution. IPhone 8 features a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia Z5, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Sony Xperia Z5 has a much longer battery life than Apple iPhone 8, because it has a 59 percent more battery capacity. The Xperia Z5 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Apple iPhone 8, because although it has slower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same aperture, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a lot more MP camera and a much bigger camera sensor shooting much better quality photos.
Although Apple iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Sony Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Xperia Z5. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Apple iPhone 8, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Sony Xperia Z5, letting go some specs and features.
