Comparison review
The iPhone 8 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, with a general score of 85 against 81.2. Even though iPhone 8 and the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 were only released with a couple of months difference, iPhone 8 is a little thinner and incredibly lighter. The Apple iPhone 8 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has 2 lesser and slower cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a 64 bits processor.
IPhone 8 has just a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, although it has a way lower 750 x 1334 resolution, a little bit worse screen density and a lot smaller display. The iPhone 8 shoots a bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has a smaller camera sensor taking lower quality videos and photos, and they both have a back camera with a 12 megapixels resolution and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the iPhone 8 also counts with better 60 fps video frame rates and a larger camera aperture for better low-light captures and video.
The iPhone 8 and the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 both count with extremely similar storage capacity to install games and applications, they have equal 256 GB internal memory. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 counts with a superior battery life than Apple iPhone 8, because it has an 87% greater battery capacity.
Although Apple iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs more money than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
