The iPhone XS Max has a global score of 84.5, which is better than Nokia 9 PureView's overall score of 76.4. IPhone XS Max's construction is somewhat heavier but just a little bit thinner than the Nokia 9 PureView, and both of them were released with only a few months difference. IPhone XS Max counts with a bit better looking screen than Nokia 9 PureView, because although it has a bit lower 1242 x 2688 resolution and a quite lower display density, it also counts with a little bit bigger display.

The Nokia 9 PureView counts with a much better storage capacity to install applications and games than iPhone XS Max, because it has more internal storage capacity. IPhone XS Max has a bit better hardware performance than Nokia 9 PureView, because although it has lesser and slower cpu cores and 2 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with a 64-bit CPU.

IPhone XS Max features a bit better camera than Nokia 9 PureView, and although they both have a back-facing camera with a 12 mega-pixels resolution, a F1.8 diafragm aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the iPhone XS Max also has faster video frame rates and a bigger sensor. The Nokia 9 PureView has a bit superior battery lifetime than iPhone XS Max, because it has 3320mAh of battery capacity instead of 3179mAh.

IPhone XS Max costs a lot more than Nokia 9 PureView, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
