Sony Xperia XZs has a global score of 77.2, which is a little bit better than Google Nexus 5's global score of 76. The Sony Xperia XZs is a notably newer and a little bit thinner phone than Google Nexus 5, although it is heavier. Google Nexus 5 features a brighter display than Xperia XZs, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080px, the Google Nexus 5 also counts with a little greater pixel count in each display inch.
The Xperia XZs features a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal memory, the Xperia XZs also has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB. Google Nexus 5 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia XZs, because although it has 2 GB lesser RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Google Nexus 5 also counts with an extra graphics processor.
Sony Xperia XZs has better battery life than Google Nexus 5, because it has 2900mAh of battery capacity. Xperia XZs captures much clearer photos and videos than Google Nexus 5, because it has a much higher (4K) video quality, a way bigger sensor, a bigger aperture to take better low light captures and videos and a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution.
Although Xperia XZs is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Nexus 5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Nexus 5. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia XZs, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Google Nexus 5, giving up a couple features and specs.
