Comparison review
The Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than the Google Nexus 6P's 80.3 general score. The Xperia 1 design has the same weight than Google Nexus 6P, but it is a bit thicker. The Xperia 1 has a better looking screen than Google Nexus 6P, because it has a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen, a better 1644 x 3840 resolution and a quite bigger screen.
The Sony Xperia 1 features much more storage to install applications and games than Google Nexus 6P, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a SD extension slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Sony Xperia 1 has a little bit better performance than Google Nexus 6P, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has 3 GB more RAM memory.
The Google Nexus 6P features a bit superior battery lifetime than Xperia 1, because it has a 3450mAh battery size. The Google Nexus 6P captures a bit better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for low-light images and video, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Google Nexus 6P also counts with a larger sensor providing a better image quality, faster video frame rate and a back-facing camera with a higher 12.3 mega pixels resolution.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Nexus 6P, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Nexus 6P. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Google Nexus 6P, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
