Xperia XZ2 Premium is slightly better than the Google Pixel XL, getting a overall score of 82.2 against 81.3. The Xperia XZ2 Premium body is newer, but heavier and a lot thicker than Google Pixel XL. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bit faster processing unit than Google Pixel XL, because it has a greater amount of RAM and more CPU cores.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a way better looking screen than Google Pixel XL, because it has a higher count of pixels per inch of screen, a little bit bigger display and a lot better 2160 x 3840px resolution. The Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Google Pixel XL, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the same video frame rates and the same sensor size, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a much more mega-pixels back camera and a bigger diafragm aperture.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a better memory capacity for apps and games than Google Pixel XL, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with just a bit longer battery lifetime than Google Pixel XL, because it has a 3% bigger battery size.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs more money than the Google Pixel XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel XL. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Google Pixel XL, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
