Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A40 is just a bit better than Huawei P20, getting a 79.6 score against 78.1. Although Samsung Galaxy A40 is just a bit thicker than the Huawei P20, it's lighter and also newer. Both of these phones use Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy A40 has older 11 version and Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Huawei P20 and the Samsung Galaxy A40 both have similar displays, although the Samsung Galaxy A40 also has a little bit bigger screen, a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. Galaxy A40 features a bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei P20, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 512 GB.
Huawei P20 has a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A40. They have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM memory amount. Huawei P20 has a slightly better camera than Galaxy A40, because although it has a way worse resolution back-facing camera and a smaller aperture which is not favorable for capturing pictures in low light environments, it also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking higher quality videos and pictures and a much better video quality.
Huawei P20 counts with just a bit longer battery life than Galaxy A40, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity.
