Comparison review
The Xperia 1 is just a bit better than Huawei P20, getting a overall score of 82.6 against 78.1. The Xperia 1 body is newer, but a little bit thicker and a little bit heavier than the Huawei P20. The Sony Xperia 1 features a little faster CPU than Huawei P20, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Xperia 1 has a much better screen than Huawei P20, because it has a better pixel count in each inch of display, a way higher 1644 x 3840 resolution and a little bit bigger display. Xperia 1 counts with a much better memory to install applications and games than Huawei P20, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia 1 also has an external memory slot that admits up to 512 GB.
The Huawei P20 features just a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have a 12 mega pixels resolution back facing camera and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Huawei P20 also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor and faster 30 frames per second video frame rate.
The Huawei P20 has just a bit better battery duration than Xperia 1, because it has a 3400mAh battery size.
Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P20. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Huawei P20, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your money.
