Huawei P20 is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, getting a global score of 78.1 against 75.7. Both phones in this review use Android OS (operating system), but Huawei P20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has Android 12, so it provides the user a lot of extra features and a performance increase. The Huawei P20 body is just a little thinner and lighter than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, despite of the fact that it was released 5 years before.
Huawei P20 has a very superior processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have 8 cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro counts with a little more vivid display than Huawei P20, because although it has a quite lower amount of pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a bigger screen.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro counts with as much memory capacity to install games and applications as the Huawei P20 one, they have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro features a superior battery lifetime than Huawei P20, because it has a 47% more battery size. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Huawei P20, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro also counts with a camera in the back with a much better resolution and a way larger sensor taking lot better quality videos and pictures.
