Huawei P40 is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia 5, having a general score of 86.4 against 81. Although it's the best in this comparison review, the Huawei P40 is an a little thicker and just a bit heavier phone than the Sony Xperia 5. The Xperia 5 has just a bit better display than Huawei P40, and although they both have a same size screen, the Xperia 5 also has a little bit higher amount of pixels in each inch in the display and a little higher 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution.
The Xperia 5 has much more memory capacity for applications and games than Huawei P40, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia 5 also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Xperia 5 counts with a processor that is very similar to the processing unit in Huawei P40, they have a Octa-Core processing unit and 6 GB of RAM.
The Huawei P40 takes much clearer videos and photos than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much better 50 mega-pixels resolution camera, a way larger camera sensor and faster 60 frames per second video frame rates.
Huawei P40 has greater battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity instead of 3140mAh.
In addition to being the best phone in our current comparison, Huawei P40 is also a bargain compared to others.
