Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 Premium is slightly better than the LG V30, with an 82.2 score against 79.1. Xperia XZ2 Premium's construction is newer, but way thicker and notably heavier than LG V30. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a more vivid screen than LG V30, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better display density and a much higher 2160 x 3840 resolution.
LG V30 counts with much more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the LG V30 also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bit more powerful processor than LG V30, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a higher amount of RAM.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium captures just a bit better photographs and videos than LG V30, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for capturing photos in low-light situations, and they both have the same video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a much bigger back camera sensor providing a way better image quality and a more mega pixels back camera.
Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit better battery duration than LG V30, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than LG V30, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG V30. If you are trying to save some money, you can get LG V30, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your money.
