The LG Velvet has an overall score of 87.1, which is just a bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro's 84.2 general score. Despite of the fact that the LG Velvet is incredibly older than the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, it's body is way lighter and thinner. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with a much better looking display than LG Velvet, although it has a bit lower screen density and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2400, they both have a display of the same size.
The LG Velvet has a lot better hardware performance than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro takes slightly better photographs and videos than LG Velvet, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for low light images and video, it also counts with a way larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a way better 7680x4320 video resolution and a more MP back-facing camera.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has slightly more storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than LG Velvet, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with improved battery lifetime than LG Velvet, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4300mAh.
