Comparison review
LG Velvet has a general score of 87.1, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy M31's 86.5 score. LG Velvet is a a little bit lighter and thinner phone than Galaxy M31, even when both of them were released only a couple of months apart. Samsung Galaxy M31 has a little sharper display than LG Velvet, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2340px and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite higher pixel density.
LG Velvet counts with a way bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy M31, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. Galaxy M31's processing unit is very similar to the processor in LG Velvet, they have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores.
Galaxy M31 takes clearer videos and photos than LG Velvet, and although they both have the same aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, the Galaxy M31 also has a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a back-facing camera with a much higher 64 megapixels resolution.
Galaxy M31 has a much longer battery life than LG Velvet, because it has a 40 percent larger battery capacity.
