The Galaxy M31 has a general score of 86.5, which is much better than the Moto G8's 74.4 overall score. The Galaxy M31 construction has the same thickness than the Moto G8, but it's just a little bit heavier. Both of these phones have Android operating system, but Galaxy M31 has a more recent 11 version while Moto G8 has Android 10, so it provides a couple nice extra features and performance optimizations.
Galaxy M31 features a better screen than Moto G8, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Galaxy M31 also has a lot better 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a much higher display pixels density. The Galaxy M31 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Moto G8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy M31 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 and Motorola Moto G8 count with incredibly similar storage capacity for apps and games, they have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory and a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with a way better camera than Motorola Moto G8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light captures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also counts with a way more megapixels back-facing camera.
