Asus ROG Phone has a score of 77.1, which is a bit better than Motorola Moto Z Play's global score of 74.4. The Asus ROG Phone is a way newer phone than Motorola Moto Z Play, although it's thicker and heavier. Asus ROG Phone has a little sharper display than Moto Z Play, because it has a little better screen pixel density, a bit larger display and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2160px.
The Asus ROG Phone counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Moto Z Play, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory. The Asus ROG Phone features a bit superior processor than Moto Z Play, and although they both have 8 cores, the Asus ROG Phone also has a larger amount of RAM.
Motorola Moto Z Play counts with a very superior camera than Asus ROG Phone, although it has lower 30 fps video frame rates and a smaller camera aperture which is worse for low-light photography, they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality. Asus ROG Phone has a bit longer battery life than Motorola Moto Z Play, because it has a 14 percent larger battery size.
Although Asus ROG Phone is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola Moto Z Play, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola Moto Z Play. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Asus ROG Phone, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Motorola Moto Z Play, giving up some specs and features.
