Comparison review

The Huawei Mate X has a global score of 89.4, which is way better than the Moto Z Play's general score of 74.4. Although Huawei Mate X is notably newer than the Moto Z Play, it is extremely thicker and incredibly heavier. Both devices in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate X has 9.0 Pie version and Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo.

Huawei Mate X has a little sharper screen than Moto Z Play, because it has a really bigger display, a lot better resolution of 2200 x 2480px and a little bit greater pixels density. The Huawei Mate X counts with a much bigger memory for apps and games than Motorola Moto Z Play, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 480 GB more internal storage.

The Huawei Mate X counts with a little better processing power than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei Mate X also has 5 GB more RAM memory. Huawei Mate X features greater battery performance than Moto Z Play, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 3510mAh.

The Moto Z Play shoots clearer videos and photos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low light photography and a way less MP resolution back-facing camera.

Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Moto Z Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto Z Play. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Moto Z Play, giving up some features and specs.
