Huawei P40 is better than the Moto Z Play, having a global score of 86.4 against 74.4. These phones work with Android operating system, but Huawei P40 has older 10 version and Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Even though Huawei P40 is a lot newer than Moto Z Play, it's thicker and a little heavier.

The Huawei P40 has just a bit better hardware performance than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei P40 also has 3 GB more RAM. Huawei P40 counts with a bit sharper display than Motorola Moto Z Play, because it has a bit bigger screen, a just a bit greater count of pixels per display inch and a bit higher 1080 x 2340 resolution.

The Moto Z Play counts with a much greater storage for games and applications than Huawei P40, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. Huawei P40 shoots way better photos and videos than Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 also has higher 60 frames per second video frame rates, a much higher resolution back camera and a bigger camera aperture.

The Huawei P40 counts with a bit better battery life than Moto Z Play, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity against 3510mAh.

Even being the best phone of the ones we compare here, Huawei P40 is also cheap compared to the other phone, which makes this phone a simple decision.
