Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 has an overall score of 77.6, which is a little bit better than Motorola Moto Z Play's 74.4 score. Xperia Z5 is an older and just a little thicker cellphone than Motorola Moto Z Play, but Sony was able to build it a little bit lighter anyway. Both phones in this comparison include Android OS, but the Xperia Z5 has 5.1 version and Motorola Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
The Sony Xperia Z5 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Moto Z Play, and although they both have a 3 GB RAM and the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a GPU. The Sony Xperia Z5 has a brighter display than Moto Z Play, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Sony Xperia Z5 also counts with a little bit greater quantity of pixels in each inch of screen.
The Moto Z Play has a superior storage capacity for apps and games than Xperia Z5, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Moto Z Play also has a SD extension slot that allows up to 1,95 TB. Xperia Z5 counts with a bit better camera than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video definition, the Xperia Z5 also has a much more mega-pixels back facing camera and a bigger aperture.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Moto Z Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto Z Play. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Moto Z Play, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
