Comparison review

Xperia 5 has a global score of 81, which is a little bit better than Nokia 8's 73.8 score. The Xperia 5 body is noticeably newer, but a little thicker and just a little heavier than the Nokia 8. The Nokia 8 counts with a sharper display than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and a quite better pixels amount in each inch in the screen.

The Xperia 5 has just a little better performance than Nokia 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 5 also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Sony Xperia 5 shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Nokia 8, because although it has a camera with a lower resolution and a worse video resolution, it also counts with a bigger sensor capturing better quality videos and pictures and a larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light captures and videos.

The Sony Xperia 5 features a much bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Nokia 8, because it has more internal memory and a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Xperia 5 features a bit superior battery performance than Nokia 8, because it has a 3140mAh battery capacity against 3090mAh.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Nokia 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Nokia 8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia 5, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Nokia 8, giving up a couple features and specifications.
