Comparison review
The Galaxy A8 Star has a global score of 82.1, which is just a bit better than OnePlus 8 UW's general score of 75.9. The Galaxy A8 Star design is just a little bit thinner than OnePlus 8 UW, but it's a little heavier and was released just 20 months before. These devices have Android OS, but Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version while OnePlus 8 UW has Android 10, so it gives lots of additional features and better performance.
OnePlus 8 UW has just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the OnePlus 8 UW also has a greater amount of RAM. The OnePlus 8 UW has a better looking display than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a little bit bigger display, a little bit better pixel density and a slightly higher 1080 x 2400 resolution.
Galaxy A8 Star has a quite bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than OnePlus 8 UW, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 400 GB. OnePlus 8 UW captures much better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the OnePlus 8 UW also counts with a back facing camera with a much higher resolution, a way bigger back camera sensor and higher video frame rate.
The OnePlus 8 UW features just a bit longer battery life than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity instead of 3700mAh.
