Even being the best device in this review, it must be told that it's also a somewhat thicker and just a little bit heavier device. The OnePlus 8 has just a bit better processing power than Motorola Moto G9 Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 8 also has a higher amount of RAM.
OnePlus 8 counts with a much more vibrant display than Moto G9 Play, and although they both have a display with the same size, the OnePlus 8 also has a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a higher pixel density. Motorola Moto G9 Play has more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than OnePlus 8, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
The Motorola Moto G9 Play has better battery lifetime than OnePlus 8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity. The OnePlus 8 has a slightly better camera than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a smaller back-facing camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for capturing photographs and videos in low light situations, and they both have a same resolution back camera, the OnePlus 8 also counts with a way better video resolution.
