The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha has a general score of 88.9, which is better than Galaxy A12's score of 80.3. Both of these phones work with the same Android 10 operating system, so both of them should give you very similar operating system features. Even being the best phone in this review, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha construction is older, heavier and somewhat thicker than the Galaxy A12.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha has a much better looking screen than Galaxy A12, because it has a larger screen, a lot higher 2088 x 2250px resolution and a better pixels density. The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha counts with much more storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy A12, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha has a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A12, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha has a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy A12, because it has a way more mega-pixels camera in the back, a bigger aperture to take better low light photography and videos and a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
The Galaxy A12 counts with improved battery life than Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, because it has a 5000mAh battery size instead of 4050mAh.
