Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy A40, getting a overall score of 84.2 against 79.6. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a more recent 14 version while Samsung Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro's body is way newer, but noticeably heavier and thicker than Samsung Galaxy A40.
Samsung Galaxy A40 features a way better hardware performance than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a better looking screen than Galaxy A40, because although it has a little less pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a larger display.

Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro features a much longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 5500mAh battery capacity.
