The Galaxy A40 has a score of 79.6, which is slightly better than the Google Nexus 5's global score of 76. Although Galaxy A40 is a little heavier than the Google Nexus 5, it's a little bit thinner and also incredibly newer. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android OS, but Galaxy A40 has an older 11 version and Google Nexus 5 has Android 4.4.3.

Google Nexus 5 features a more vivid display than Galaxy A40, because although it has a bit smaller display and a little bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a little bit higher screen pixel density. Samsung Galaxy A40 features a much better storage capacity to install applications and games than Google Nexus 5, because it has more internal storage capacity and a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 512 GB.

The Google Nexus 5 features a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a lower number of cores (but faster) and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics processing unit. Galaxy A40 has a way better battery lifetime than Google Nexus 5, because it has a 3100mAh battery size against 2300mAh.

Samsung Galaxy A40 has a much better camera than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A40 also has a lot larger aperture to capture better low light photography, a larger camera sensor providing a better image quality and a lot more mega pixels camera in the back.
