The Samsung Galaxy A42 is slightly better than the LG V50 ThinQ, having an 87 score against 83.7. Both of these phones work with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has the newer 11 version and LG V50 ThinQ has Android 10, so it provides some nice extra features. LG V50 ThinQ features a greater memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy A42, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage, the LG V50 ThinQ also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Samsung Galaxy A42 captures a bit better photographs and videos than LG V50 ThinQ, because although it has worse video frame rates and a tinier aperture which is not good for capturing photographs and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with a back camera with a much better resolution.
The Galaxy A42 counts with better battery life than LG V50 ThinQ, because it has a 25% more battery capacity.
