Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A42 has a global score of 87, which is slightly better than the Moto Z4's global score of 79.8. Both devices in our current comparison come with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy A42 has a more recent 11 version while Moto Z4 has Android 10 version, giving some additional features and enhanced performance. Samsung Galaxy A42's design is newer, but thicker and heavier than Moto Z4.
The Moto Z4 features a brighter display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a way better 1080 x 2340 resolution and a much higher screen pixel density. The Galaxy A42 features just a little better performance than Motorola Moto Z4. Both have the same RAM amount and 8 CPU cores.
Galaxy A42 features a bit more memory for games and applications than Moto Z4, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A42 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 1000 GB. The Galaxy A42 features a much better battery duration than Motorola Moto Z4, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
The Moto Z4 captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy A42, and although they both have a 48 MP camera, the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Moto Z4 also has a bigger aperture to capture better low light photography and video.
