Comparison review
The Galaxy M31s is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy A42, getting a score of 88 against 87. These phones have the same Android 11 operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding that. Although it's the best we are comparing, the Galaxy M31s design is a little heavier and just a little thicker than the Samsung Galaxy A42.
Samsung Galaxy M31s counts with a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1080 x 2400 resolution and much more pixels per display inch.
