Samsung Galaxy Note9 has a score of 87.1, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A42's 87 general score. Even though Samsung Galaxy Note9 is better than the Samsung Galaxy A42, it must be told that it is also older, just a little bit thicker and a bit heavier. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 features a much sharper screen than Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater display density and a way higher 1440 x 2960 resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Note9 has a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has a larger amount of RAM. Galaxy A42 takes slightly better photos and videos than Galaxy Note9, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light photos and videos and lower video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy A42 also counts with a back camera with a much higher resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 features slightly more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note9, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has an external memory slot that supports up to 1000 GB. Galaxy A42 features improved battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
