The iPhone XS Max has a global score of 84.5, which is slightly better than Galaxy A70's general score of 76.9. Although iPhone XS Max and Galaxy A70 were only released with a couple of months difference, iPhone XS Max's design is somewhat heavier but a bit thinner. Galaxy A70 features a much bigger storage for applications and games than Apple iPhone XS Max, because it has a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 512 GB and 64 GB more internal memory. The Apple iPhone XS Max features a superior processing unit than Galaxy A70, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and 2 less CPU cores , it also counts with a 64-bits processor.
The Galaxy A70 features a very superior battery performance than Apple iPhone XS Max, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity. Apple iPhone XS Max captures much better photos and videos than Galaxy A70, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for capturing photos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Apple iPhone XS Max also counts with a bigger sensor which gives a better photo and video quality and higher video frame rates.
Although iPhone XS Max is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy A70, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy A70. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy A70, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
