The Galaxy A8 (2018) has a general score of 79.2, which is a little bit better than the Xperia XZ2's general score of 79.1. Although Galaxy A8 (2018) and Xperia XZ2 were released only 3 months apart, Galaxy A8 (2018) is lighter and way thinner. Xperia XZ2 features a little bit better display than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), because although it has a little bit worse pixels count in each inch of screen and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2160px, it also counts with a little bit bigger display.
Sony Xperia XZ2 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy A8 (2018). Both of them have the same RAM memory amount and 8 cores. Xperia XZ2 has a bit bigger memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy A8 (2018), and although they both have the same internal memory, the Xperia XZ2 also has a SD memory slot that admits up to 400 GB.
The Xperia XZ2 has a bit longer battery performance than Galaxy A8 (2018), because it has 3180mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
