Galaxy A9 (2018) has a global score of 85.2, which is slightly better than the Galaxy A80's 84.9 score. Galaxy A9 (2018)'s construction is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than Galaxy A80, even when they were only released 6 months apart. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018)'s processor is just as good as the processor in Galaxy A80, and although the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have 8 cpu cores.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 and the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) have extremely similar screens, although the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) has a bit smaller screen, a little worse number of pixels per screen inch and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels. The Galaxy A80 shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy A80 also counts with a lot better 48 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera and a lot larger camera sensor providing a way better image quality.
