The Samsung Galaxy A80 has a general score of 84.9, which is just a bit better than Xperia 1 V's overall score of 82.7. Although it's the best phone in this comparison review, the Samsung Galaxy A80 body is extremely older, thicker and heavier than the Xperia 1 V. The Xperia 1 V features a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy A80, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840px and a much better amount of pixels per inch in the display.
The Samsung Galaxy A80 has a way better performance than Xperia 1 V, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. Xperia 1 V has a superior memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A80, because it has 128 GB more internal memory. The Xperia 1 V counts with better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A80, because it has a 35% more battery capacity.
The Xperia 1 V captures much better videos and photos than Galaxy A80, and although they both have a 48 mega-pixels back camera and the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia 1 V also has a way larger camera sensor taking way higher quality videos and pictures, a larger camera aperture for better images and video in low light environments and faster video frame rates.
