Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A80 has an overall score of 84.9, which is much better than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2's global score of 76. The Samsung Galaxy A80 body is noticeably newer than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2's, but it's somewhat thicker and heavier. Galaxy A80 counts with a bit faster processor than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because it has more CPU cores and more RAM memory.
The Galaxy A80 has a bit more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because it has a larger screen, a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a little greater pixel count per inch in the display. The Samsung Galaxy A80 shoots much better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a same size aperture, the Samsung Galaxy A80 also has a lot larger back-facing camera sensor providing a much better image quality and a much more mega-pixels camera in the back.
The Galaxy A80 and the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 have extremely similar storage capacity for games and applications, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 counts with just a bit better battery lifetime than Galaxy A80, because it has a 4070mAh battery size instead of 3700mAh.
