Galaxy A9 (2018) is much better than the OnePlus 8, getting a score of 85.2 against 76. The Galaxy A9 (2018) is a a little heavier device than the OnePlus 8, but they are 0.31inches thick. OnePlus 8 features a more vivid screen than Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a bit higher pixel density, a little bit larger screen and a slightly better 1080 x 2400px resolution.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) has a much greater memory to install applications and games than OnePlus 8, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The OnePlus 8 counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy A9 (2018), and although they both have 8 cores, the OnePlus 8 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.

OnePlus 8 takes better pictures and videos than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for taking photographs and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the OnePlus 8 also counts with faster 60 fps video frame rate, a way bigger sensor and a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution.

OnePlus 8 has a bit better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a 13 percent larger battery size.
