The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy M30s, with a global score of 85.2 against 83.3. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018)'s design is thinner and just a little lighter than the Samsung Galaxy M30s, despite of the fact that it was released around 11 months before. Galaxy M30s features a CPU that is just as good as the Galaxy A9 (2018) one, and although the Galaxy M30s has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Galaxy M30s features a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a little bit larger screen, a little better pixel density and a quite better 1080 x 2340 resolution. Samsung Galaxy M30s captures slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for capturing photographs and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy M30s also counts with a way better resolution camera in the back and a much bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
The Galaxy A9 (2018) counts with a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy M30s, and although they both have an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB, the Galaxy A9 (2018) also has 64 GB more internal storage. Galaxy M30s has a very superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a 58% greater battery size.
