Huawei P20 has a score of 78.1, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy J7 Star's 73.1 score. The Huawei P20 construction is thinner and a little bit lighter than Galaxy J7 Star, even when both of them were released with only a few months difference. Both of these devices use the same Android 9.0 Pie operating system.
Huawei P20 has a bit better CPU than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei P20 also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Huawei P20 has a sharper display than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a lot greater quantity of pixels per screen inch, a little bit larger display and a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2244.
The Huawei P20 features a bit bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. The Huawei P20 features a little longer battery lifetime than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a 3400mAh battery size.
Huawei P20 has just a bit better camera than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for low light captures and videos and a back facing camera with a lower 12 mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a much larger sensor shooting much higher quality videos and photos and a lot higher (4K) video definition.
Although Huawei P20 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy J7 Star, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy J7 Star. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy J7 Star, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your money.
