Samsung Galaxy M31 is a bit better than Asus ZenFone 8, having an 86.5 score against 83. The Samsung Galaxy M31 body has the same thickness than Asus ZenFone 8, but it is heavier. These devices come with the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding that.
Asus ZenFone 8 has a little bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy M31, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, way more display brightness and a quite greater pixels amount in each screen inch. Galaxy M31 has a greater storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 512 GB.
Asus ZenFone 8 has a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy M31. Both have the same number of cores and a 6 GB RAM memory. Asus ZenFone 8 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy M31, and although they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, a same size sensor and a 64 MP resolution back camera, the Asus ZenFone 8 also has a lot better 7680x4320 video definition.
