Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy M31, getting a overall score of 90.9 against 86.5. Even being the best cellphone in this comparison, we must highlight that it's also a just a little thicker and just a little heavier cellphone. These phones come with Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has an older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy M31 has Android 11 version.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a little better performance than Galaxy M31, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features just a bit better looking display than Galaxy M31, because it has a quite bigger display, a better 1334 x 2772 pixels resolution and a little bit greater screen pixels density.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro captures just a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy M31, because although it has a worse (4K) video resolution, a lot less mega-pixels back facing camera and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for capturing photos in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a lot larger sensor capturing way higher quality videos and pictures.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy M31, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy M31 features a really longer battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 4400mAh.
