The Galaxy M31 has a global score of 86.5, which is slightly better than the Huawei P20 Pro's general score of 81.4. Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy M31 has a newer 11 version while Huawei P20 Pro has Android 10. Even though Galaxy M31 is newer than Huawei P20 Pro, it's just a bit heavier and somewhat thicker.
The Galaxy M31 counts with a slightly better display than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has a bit less pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a bit larger display and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with a greater memory capacity for applications and games than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits up to 512 GB.
The Huawei P20 Pro has a CPU that is just as good as the Galaxy M31 one, both have the same number of cores and 6 GB of RAM memory. Galaxy M31 captures a little bit better videos and photos than Huawei P20 Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same video quality and a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the Galaxy M31 also has a camera in the back with much more megapixels and a bigger back camera sensor.
