Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy M31 is better than Moto G8 Plus, with an 86.5 score against 77.6. Even though Samsung Galaxy M31 and Moto G8 Plus were released only 4 months apart, Samsung Galaxy M31's construction is a bit heavier but just a little bit thinner. Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with a little bit better looking screen than Motorola Moto G8 Plus, because it has a little bit higher 1080 x 2340px resolution, a bit larger screen and a quite better screen density.
Motorola Moto G8 Plus's storage capacity for apps and games is just as good as Samsung Galaxy M31's one, they have the same 64 GB internal storage and a SD extension slot that allows up to 512 GB. Samsung Galaxy M31 has a bit better hardware performance than Moto G8 Plus, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also has more RAM.
Galaxy M31 features a little bit better camera than Moto G8 Plus, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low light images and video, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Galaxy M31 also counts with a way higher 64 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a larger sensor providing a better image quality.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 features a superior battery performance than Motorola Moto G8 Plus, because it has a 50 percent bigger battery size.
