The Samsung Galaxy M31 has a global score of 86.5, which is a bit better than Galaxy A9 (2018)'s 85.2 overall score. The Samsung Galaxy M31 construction is newer, but a little heavier and thicker than Galaxy A9 (2018). The Samsung Galaxy M31 has a little better performance than Galaxy A9 (2018). Both have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processing unit.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 has a little sharper display than Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a little bit more pixels per screen inch, a bit higher 1080 x 2340 resolution and a quite bigger display. The Galaxy A9 (2018) has a lot bigger memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy M31, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB, the Galaxy A9 (2018) also has 64 GB more internal storage.
The Galaxy M31 features a much better battery life than Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity against 3800mAh. The Galaxy M31 captures better pictures and videos than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for low-light photos and video, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Galaxy M31 also counts with a back camera with much more mega-pixels and a much larger back camera sensor shooting way higher quality videos and photographs.
