Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy M31 has a score of 86.5, which is just a bit better than Galaxy M40's 85 overall score. Even being the best phone in this comparison review, Samsung Galaxy M31 is a somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker phone than Galaxy M40. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy M31 has a more recent 11 version while Galaxy M40 has Android 10 version, so it counts with some nice extra features.
The Galaxy M31 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy M40. Both of them have 8 cpu cores and the same RAM amount. The Samsung Galaxy M31 has a little sharper display than Galaxy M40, because although it has a just a little lower screen pixels density, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1080 x 2340, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also counts with a quite bigger screen.
Galaxy M40 features a much greater memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy M31, and although they both have an external memory slot that allows up to 512 GB, the Galaxy M40 also has 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy M31 takes much better photographs and videos than Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for taking photos and video in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also counts with a much bigger back-facing camera sensor taking way better quality videos and photos and a back facing camera with lot more MP.
The Galaxy M31 counts with a superior battery life than Galaxy M40, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity.
