Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 II is a little bit better than the Galaxy M31, having a overall score of 91 against 86.5. Both of these devices come with the same Android 11 OS, so they should provide the user very similar operating system features. The Sony Xperia 1 II is a just a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner phone than Galaxy M31, although both were released with only a couple of months difference.
The Sony Xperia 1 II features a bit better CPU than Samsung Galaxy M31, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia 1 II also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Xperia 1 II has a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy M31, because it has a quite bigger display, a lot more pixels per screen inch and a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px.
Galaxy M31 features a superior camera than Sony Xperia 1 II, because although it has slower video frame rates and a smaller camera aperture which is worse for low-light photos and video, and they both have the same video quality and the same camera sensor size, the Galaxy M31 also counts with a back-facing camera with a way better resolution.
Sony Xperia 1 II has a lot bigger memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy M31, because it has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 1000 GB and 256 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy M31 counts with a superior battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 1 II, because it has a 50% bigger battery size.
