Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy M31 has a global score of 86.5, which is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium's global score of 79.8. Both phones we are comparing here use Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy M31 has 11 version and Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1, offering a couple nice extra features and a performance increase. The Samsung Galaxy M31 is a much newer device than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, but it is thicker and a little bit heavier.
The Xperia Z5 Premium has a lot better looking display than Galaxy M31, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a way better display pixel density and a lot higher 3840 x 2160 resolution. The Samsung Galaxy M31 has a superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has more internal storage capacity and an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium's processing unit is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy M31 one, because although the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, it also counts with a graphics processing unit. The Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with a much better battery lifetime than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a 75 percent bigger battery size.
The Galaxy M31 counts with a superior camera than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, and although they both have a same size aperture, the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Galaxy M31 also has a much better 64 megapixels resolution back facing camera and a lot bigger sensor which gives a much higher photo and video quality.
