Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy M31 is better than Xiaomi 12X, getting a general score of 86.5 against 77.8. Although it's the best in this comparison review, we must highlight that it's also noticeably older, just a little heavier and just a bit thicker. These phones come with the same Android 11 operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding OS features.
Xiaomi 12X features just a bit better looking display than Galaxy M31, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a really brighter display and a quite better pixels number per display inch. Galaxy M31 has a really superior processing power than Xiaomi 12X, although it has less RAM, they both have 8 cores.
Galaxy M31 has a better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi 12X, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Galaxy M31 features better battery lifetime than Xiaomi 12X, because it has a 33% more battery size.
The Galaxy M31 counts with a slightly better camera than Xiaomi 12X, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Galaxy M31 also has a back facing camera with a lot better resolution, a bigger aperture to capture better captures and video in low-light situations and faster video frame rates.
