The Samsung Galaxy M31 has a score of 86.5, which is much better than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's general score of 77.7. The Samsung Galaxy M31 design is somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite.
