Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy M31 is much better than the Xiaomi Poco M3, with a score of 86.5 against 78.2. Even though Samsung Galaxy M31 and Xiaomi Poco M3 were released only 9 months apart, Samsung Galaxy M31 is a bit lighter and just a little bit thinner. Both of these devices use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy M31 has newer 11 version while Xiaomi Poco M3 has Android 10, giving some extra features.
The Galaxy M31 counts with a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Poco M3, and although they both have 8 cores, the Galaxy M31 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. The Galaxy M31 features a little sharper display than Xiaomi Poco M3, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have an equal 1080 x 2340 resolution, the Galaxy M31 also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch in the display.
Galaxy M31 captures much clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Poco M3, and although they both have the same diafragm aperture, the Galaxy M31 also has a back-facing camera with a way better 64 MP resolution, a larger back-facing camera sensor and a lot better (4K) video resolution. Xiaomi Poco M3 and Samsung Galaxy M31 both count with incredibly similar storage for apps and games, both of them have a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 512 GB and the same internal memory capacity.
The Xiaomi Poco M3 features a battery duration that is just as good as the battery life in Galaxy M31.
